Here in the UK, January is a cold and dark month, only made lighter if snow is on the ground. I thought with that in mind I would search the Internet and see where you can visit during this bleak month. If you’re one of my overseas readers, I am sure some of these links will still entertain you.
The first link I have for you is over at Wanderlust, who have come up with 20 of the Best Places to Visit in January 2023. There is a mixture of hot and cold places recommended to visit. Please take a look and let me know in the comments which ones you like the look of. I would be torn between a cold visit to see the Northern Lights or the warmth of The Maldives.
January 1st produces a few wonderful things you can try, one of which I will not be taking part in! It’s the over in Wales, and it’s the Saundersfoot New Year's Day Swim.
Events in London January 2023
One of my favourite films, a trilogy, is Back to the Future. I have noticed that in London from 26th November to 21st January, there is Europe’s largest collection of memorabilia from the Back to the Future films for the first time! Click here for details. Can I be tempted?
What’s On Websites
The List is an excellent website for finding out what’s on in the UK. It has a search page to find out about any area.
For the capital, there is What’s On in London.
Eventbrite can often be overlooked, but it’s an excellent place to find events that you might otherwise never consider.
Get Your Guide can take you worldwide and is worth a click!
National Trust has many events in addition to their usual venues, which remain open during January. Here is the what’s on guide for their events.
English Heritage also has a what’s on guide for their events.
Roland’s Travels is going to …….
Now that would be telling! I have many places to visit. January will always be tricky as the weather can significantly mess up plans. Make sure you are a subscriber, and you will be sent my latest posts.
