So far, so Good

I started this blog on May 8th. 2017 and am now taking stock of how it is progressing. This is the 104th. post, probably not as many as I would wish to have written and this number includes a few guest posts and a reblog or two.

Plans for 2018

When I started this blog I decided against being too niche, however, highly successful bloggers know that if you want to make real money from blogging you need a highly targeted audience. That could be travel, fashion, sport and so on. I have left the door open to do that in the future and that is why I chose, life, people and travel which I can eventually focus in on any one of these subjects. At the moment I still like to be able to have more options. The reason is that I am not reliant on an income from this blog and if I focus in on one subject only I will need to create more content on that subject alone. Whilst I have more options to write about I can use this period to hone my writing and research skills and think carefully about the way I want to go later on.

In this blog, so far you will find posts about travel, the places I have visited and reviews. There are also some life stories, advice about social media and how we can all use it in our daily lives and business. Plus you will find some things written under the ‘life’ banner on health issues and other matters.

I want to thank all of you that read my blog and an extra ‘thank you’ to those that comment and share the posts. It’s also good to report that I am now getting traffic from Google and other search engines.

Blogging Takes Time and Effort

This is not my first blog and so I know that it takes time and effort to build an audience of readers and to get ranked by search engines. For the first half of 2018, I will continue writing in a similar way and concentrate on adding more content but don’t be surprised if I start narrowing down into a more focused niche! Please join me on my blogging journey as I share my Evernote notebook containing help and advice on creating your own blog.
