For most people the thought of standing before an audience and speaking is more terrifying than the thought of dying! With help and good instruction you can overcome that fear and develop skills that will make you a good public speaker.
I am able to offer individuals one to one or group coaching. For those not able to attend physically or perhaps too nervous at first they can video a presentation and have it watched and analysed. Feed back in then given in a telephone coaching session to help correct any weaknesses in the presentation and encouragement provided to improve.
Coaching can be arranged by companies or other groups for their employees and I suggest up to 8 persons is a good group size. Intensive Public Speaking Courses can be for one or two whole days.
I have developed courses that will enable you to learn all the techniques required to master the art of public speaking.
You will learn how to compose your talk and use notes to recall it during your presentation. Your coaching will show you how to use your voice to create interest in what you say using techniques such as modulation and use of volume. Every speaker needs to learn how to gesture correctly, to be clear both with the body and facially, sometimes humorous and occasionally very serious. You will be shown how to be fluent and avoid those ‘word whiskers’ such as “er, um, ok” and other annoying habits that speakers can develop. The importance of good audience contact and how to achieve that will be a part of what you learn.
You will be taught all that you need to know and the above is just a taster of what you will do. The speaking skills that I teach are used by the greatest speakers around the world. They are tried and tested and with proper coaching and practice you too can apply these in your presentations and truly benefit by using them.
The coaching is designed to help you reduce and control your nerves without engaging in any weird techniques so that you will be able to face any size audience with confidence.
